THE PANTHERS
• The # 16 Panthers look to continue their success of defeating top 10 teams when they host the #3 Salukis on Oct 30. The Panthers defeated #7 South Dakota State 26-17 on Oct 23.

• The Panthers have gained 18 total turnovers, leading the Valley in most turnovers and ranking 3rd in the nation.

• Quarterback Theo Day has pushed the ball downfield all season and leads the Valley in Passing Yards Per Completion (15.49) and ranks 2nd in the nation.

• Wide Receiver Isaiah Weston has hauled in 5 touchdown catches this season. Weston's 5 touchdowns rank 3rd in the Valley, Weston also ranks 3rd with 578 receiving yards.

• MLB Spencer Cuvelier earned MVFC Defensive Player of the week for the second time this season after finishing with 17 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 1 pass breakup against Youngstown State.

THE SALUKIS
• The Southern Illinois University Saluki football program landed eight players on the 2021 Missouri Valley Football All-Conference teams – including three honorable mentions.

•  It's the second-straight season in with the Salukis have had eight All-Conference selections. The Salukis had four first-team selections – offensive lineman ZeVeyon Furcron, wide receiver Avante Cox and defensive backs Qua Brown and James Ceasar - the program's most first-team selections 2009.

• Quarterback Nic Baker In his first season-opening start as a college QB, Baker set the school record for passing yards in one game when he passed for 460 yards in the win at SEMO on Sept. 2, 2021. Though he's quarterbacked just 12 games in his Saluki career, Baker is in 17th place in career passing yards at SIU with 2,394 yards. He passed for 395 yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions at #2 SDSU last week. Baker is 8-1 as a starter.

• University of San Diego grad transfer DT Kevin Glajchen has 12 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and three quarterback sacks in his first five Saluki games. He did not play at Western Illinois due to an injured pectoral muscle.

•  Miami (OH) freshman DE transfer Richie Hagarty has 12 total tackles, five tackles for loss, and four quarterback sacks in his first six Saluki games. He made his first start of the season on Oct. 9, 2021, at South Dakota St.
