Game-by-Game: Made one tackle in collegiate debut against New Mexico State • notched one tackle against Fresno State • saw action against Miami, Maryland, Iowa, Ohio State, Nebraska and Indiana • recorded two tackles at Illinois • tallied two tackles against Purdue • competed against Northwestern and Wisconsin • registered one tackle in Quick Lane Bowl victory over Georgia Tech.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Eden Prairie High School in Eden Prairie, Minn. • wore No. 4 for the Eagles • limited to two games in 2017 because of an injury and missed the 2016 season with an injury • coached by Mike Grant • consensus three-star recruit • No. 2 overall recruit out of Minnesota and No. 44 ranked cornerback in his class by 247Sports.
PERSONAL: Son of Benjamin and Erica Sapp • has one brother (Benjamin) and three sisters, (Briyana, Baylee and Belle) • father, Benjamin Sapp Jr., currently an assistant coach, played collegiately at UNI and then played in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs (2004-07), Minnesota Vikings (2008-09 and 2011) and Miami Dolphins (2010-11) • ended his NFL career with 240 tackles, 2.6 sacks, six interceptions, four forced fumbles and 35 pass breakups ... majoring in liberal studies with a minor in sports administration and strength and conditioning.
