The Panthers
•The Panthers were selected to finish 2nd in the MVC according to the MVC Preseason Coaches Poll. UNI received 4 first-place votes but trailed Drake in the voting 89-87.
•Three Panthers landed on the Preseason All-MVC Team in Seniors Sammey Bunch, Jaclyn Spencer,and Adara Opiola.
• Justin's World of Softball ranks Sammey Bunch as the nation's #58 ranked player, Bunch also ranks #19 among infielders.
• Sammey Bunch has been named to the 2020 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Watch List.
•The Panthers went 28-23 in 2019 while posting a16-10 in the MVC.
• UNI returns key contributors in 2020 including Sammey Bunch, Jacyln Spencer, Adara Opiola, Ashley Chesser, Jenny Kohl, and Olivia Brooks
.
• Sammey Bunch enters her for her senior season as the reigning Missouri Valley Conference MVP. In 2019 Bunch recorded a .395 AVG, 62 hits, 17 home runs, 48 runs scored, 68 putouts, and 107 assists.
• Jacyln Spencer was an All-Conference and All-Tournament Selection in 2019 while recording a 11-5 record. Spencer's 1.81 ERA is a team low. Spencer also recorded 97 strikeouts, only 21 earned runs, and only giving up a B/AVG of .213.
• Adara Opiola, Ashley Chesser, Jenny Kohl, and Olivia Brooks were key contributors in the 2019 season. Opiola was an All-Tournament Selection, Chesser was an All-Conference selection, Kohl was an All-Defensive Player, and Brooks recorded a team-high 63 hits in 2019.
