UNI women's basketball hits the road for a game against Summit League opponent North Dakota State. It is the first of three games against Summit opponents. North Dakota State is in the second season under the helm of head coach Jory Collins. It is the first game of the season for the Bison. The two teams met in Collins first-ever game a season ago and the Panthers rolled to a 95-63 win.Â
• The Panthers have a 6-1 all-time record against NDSU. The lone NDSU win came on Nov. 13, 2009. UNI has never lost in Fargo. Â
• UNI is coming off of an impressive defensive win against Creighton. The Panthers held the Blue Jays to just 52 points, including single digits in the first and third quarters. The Blue Jays were just 18-63 (28.6%) from the field for the game, including 2-19 (10.53%) from the field in the first quarter.  Â
• The Panthers return their top five leading scorers and four of five starters off of last year's team. Karli Rucker led the way with 13.7 points per game, Kam Finley was second with 9.9 PPG, Megan Maahs third with 9.2 PPG, Bre Gunnels fourth with 7.0 PPG and Nicole Kroeger fifth with 6.7 PPG. In total, UNI returns 1,469 of 2,007 total points (73.2%).
• NDSU returns three starters from last year in seniors Emily Dietz and Michelle Gaislerova, along with sophomore Ryan Cobbins. Olivia Skibiel comes off the bench for the Bison as the only remaining player that stepped on the court. NDSU welcomes five newcomers and three players that redshirted last season.
• Last season, UNI closed non-conference play with the most non-conference wins in school history (8), three wins over Power-Five Schools and an undefeated home record. The Panthers defeated No. 20 Iowa 88-66, Missouri 78-73 and Iowa State 71-63.Â
• After two games, UNI is ranked 18th in the NCAA in three-pointers attempted (54) and 13th for three-pointers made (20). Cynthia Wolf is currently ranked 17th in the nation for blocked shots and the Panthers are 30th in NCAA for team blocked shots.Â
• The Missouri Valley Conference Schedule is in flux after the Presidents chose to move to a series format to reduce travel, UNI will have four road series, four home series and play a home-and-home with travel partner Drake. The conference schedule will be released in early December.Â
• Karli Rucker is currently 19th on the all-time scoring list with 1,053 career points. She is 10 points back from Cassie Hager for the 18th spot. She surpassed Cindy Harms with her 12 points against Creighton.Â
• Megan Maahs is seventh all-time for rebounding with 729. She is 14 back from Erin Brocka for 6th. If she returns to her sophomore pace (322 rebounds), she can challenge record holder Alex Cook for the top spot in the record book.
