
Panther Track and Field Hosts Jennett Open, Travels to Iowa State

UNI track and field stays home for the Jack Jennett Open in Cedar Falls on Jan. 23-24 at the UNI-DOME. UNI welcomes fellow Division I programs Wisconsin and Illinois State. Other competitors include: Dubuque, Grand View, Graceland, Wartburg, Briar Cliff, William Penn, Indian Hills, and Hawkeye.Â
For the first time this year, the Panthers will be competing in multievents. Michael Santi, Thai Thompson, and Zach Butcher will compete in the heptathalon. Erica Loussaert, Maria Gonzalez, Brooke Lorenz, and Morgan Johnk will compete in the pentathalon.
This is the Panther's first and only regular-season home meet. The only other time they will compete in the UNI-Dome will be on March 13-14, 2020 for the MVC Indoor Championships.
The meet kicks off at 1 p.m. on Thursday (1/23) with the multievents. It will resume on Friday (1/24) at 10 a.m. with multievents. Field events will begin at 11:15 a.m. followed by track events at 1 p.m.
Following the Jack Jennett Open, the Panthers will travel to the Cyclone Open in Ames, Iowa on Jan. 25. Events will begin at noon.
