UNI announces 2025-26 indoor track and field schedule

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- The UNI track and field team on Wednesday afternoon announced its schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 indoor season.
Northern Iowa, which is coming off a Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) men's team championship and a third-place showing by the Panther women at last year's conference indoor meet, will open the season at the Jimmy Grant Alumni Invitational in Iowa City, Dec. 12-13.
Following the New Year's holiday, the Panthers will return to action at the Minnesota Open on Jan. 10 and a two-meet weekend at Kansas State's Thane Baker Invitational and Iowa State's Bill Bergan Open, both on Jan. 16. UNI will return to Iowa City for the Larry Wieczorek Invitational (Jan. 23-24) before closing out January in Waverly at the Friday Knight Lights on Jan. 30.
The Panthers kick off February with a second double meet weekend at the Larry Sevigne Husker Invitational at Nebraska (Feb. 6-7) and at the Iowa State Classic (Feb. 6) before traveling to Chicago for the Wisconsin Windy City Invite (Feb. 13-14) and the Iowa Open on Feb. 20.
The 2026 MVC Indoor Championships head to Indianapolis, March 1-2 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, while the 2026 NCAA Indoor Championships are scheduled for March 13-14 at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
