UNI Women's Soccer Finds Victory in the Last Minutes Against USD

VERMILLION, South Dakota - UNI women's soccer defeated the Coyotes 2-1 in the last four minutes of the game against the Coyotes.
The Panthers trailed the Coyotes 1-0 most of the second half, taking 4 shots throughout the half, and 9 shots throughout the game. UNI took two opportunities in the final minutes, with Jamie Althiser scoring in the 86th minute, and Johnnie Hill in the 88th minute, and with assists going to Jordyn Rolli, Sydney Hayden, and Lizzie Mewes.
Jordyn Petty remained in goal throughout the game, racking up 7 saves.
The Panthers travel to Missouri - Kansas City on Friday, September 13th for their next game at 7 p.m.
"I'm proud of the effort of our players to grind out a good win on the road. Two good goals against a a South Dakota team that played well and it was a physical game we found a way to win. Proud of our group." said head coach Bruce Erickson.
