CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – UNI women's tennis travels Omaha, Nebraska this weekend. Opening play at the Creighton 2019 Bluejay Invitational Friday, Sept. 27 at the Koch Family Tennis Center in Omaha.
The women compete in both singles and doubles throughout the weekend. Matches will continue Sept. 28 and 29 at 12 p.m. at the Koch Family Tennis Center
UNI comes off competition at the Minnesota Gopher Invite that saw Emma Carr win the Draw E singles bracket.
Doubles play at the Bluejay Invite will consist of a six-game set with a tiebreaker at 6-6. Singles will be best two out of three sets with a 10-point tiebreak in lieu of the third set.
Weather may become an issue in Omaha and there is no indoor facility to use as an alternative venue.
The tournament is the final chance for UNI to improve before hosting the Missouri Valley Conference singles and doubles championship at the Byrnes Tennis Center in Waterloo, Iowa.
