Cedar Falls, Iowa – UNI cross country competes at the Roy Griak Invitational Saturday hosted by the University of Minnesota at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in Minneapolis. The field includes Minnesota, Columbia, Duke (M), Gonzaga (W), North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Southern Utah, University of California - Riverside, University of the Pacific and University of San Francisco.

Wal Khat leads the way for the Panther men. He finished 12th at the same meet last year, senior CJ May finished 69th and junior Drake Henrichs finished 79th.

The men's team finished 11th last year and are coming off of a fifth-place finish at the Illinois State Invite. The men's 8,000-meter race begins at 9:30 a.m.Â

On the women's side, UNI's top runner McKayla Cole has yet to race this season after an illness held her out of action at Illinois State. She finished 48th last year at this meet. Junior Tess Roorda finished 70th last year and sophomore Paige Holub cracked the top 100 last year as well.
