Panther Football Ready for Top-10 Match Up at Weber State

A top-10 battle is on tap for the Panthers in Ogden, Utah as the No. 9/7 Panthers travel to face the No. 5/6 Weber State Wildcats at Stewart Stadium in Ogden, Utah. It is the first meeting of the two schools in nearly three decades. The Panthers lead the series 2-1. UNI and Weber State are tied for 12th in the FCS for scoring defense at 16.3 points per game allowed.Â

 •The Panthers defense held Idaho State to just six points with no touchdowns to move to 2-1 on the year. Elerson Smith notched three sacks and was named the MVFC Player of the Week. Xavior Williams tallied four pass breakups. Cook was named the Special Teams Player of the Week after the Iowa State game, McElvain earned Newcomer of the Week honors after the Southern Utah game and Elerson G.
