Women's Soccer Take on Hawkeyes on the Road

The Panthers look to extend their win streak to two on Sunday, Aug 25 when they travel to Iowa City for an in-state clash with the Hawkeyes of the University of Iowa. Both programs are 1-0 on the season, the Panthers defeated Chicago State 5-0 in their home opener while the Hawkeyes are coming off a 2-0 home victory over Western Michigan.
The two programs will be playing for the 15th time, including exhibition games. The Panthers have yet to defeat the Hawkeyes, posting a 0-14 all-time record against the in-state foe.

The Panthers Quick Notes
• The Panthers opened the season with a 5-0 victory over Chicago State.
• Senior forward Sydney Hayden is the Panthers' leading returning scorer and currently ranks fifth in career goals with 13 after scoring in the season opener against Chicago State, 2 shy of tying Sarah Brandt for 4th all-time (15).
• Maddy Germann scored the Panthers fourth goal against Chicago State on a penalty kick.
• Hayden scored six goals in 2018 which is tied for sixth all-time for single season goals.
• UNI Women's Soccer opened preseason with a 4-0 win over Eastern Illinois at the Moline Soccer Bowl, and a 0-4 loss to Iowa State at home.
• Along with playing soccer, leading scorer Jordyn Rolli is also an intern with UNI's Athletic Communications department.
• In the MVC, UNI finished third overall in the 2018 season, recording five shutouts.
• Panther Soccer welcomes Jami Reichenberger to the coaching staff after earning MVC All Tournament Team recognition last season.
• UNI returns senior Sydney Hayden, after receiving both an MVC Scholar-Athlete Honorable Mention and an All-Conference Honorable Mention last season.
• Jordyn Rolli returns for her senior year after receiving an MVC Scholar-Athlete Honorable Mention.
