
UNI Swimming & Diving Earns Scholar All-America Team Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. Â - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association named UNI Swimming and Diving a Scholar All-America Team for the spring semester. The Panthers achieved an overall team grade point average of 3.56.Â
"Coach (Nick) Lakin consistently produces one of our nation's best academic performers," CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart said in the release.
In total, 184 Division I women's swimming and diving teams received the honor. The median grade point average for women's teams recorded at 3.45, the highest in history.
Six teams from the Missouri Valley Conference recorded a grade point average above 3.50, enough to give it the second highest conference average in Division I. In total, the MVC was one of five conferences to record above a 3.50 with a 3.55 average.
The CSCAA will announce its individual Scholar All-Americans next week.
