MACOMB, Illinois - Panthers finish in 5th place in the Beu Mussatto Invitational.
After day one of the Beu Mussatto Invitational being postponed, the Panthers played 36 holes today (4/16) to wrap up the trip to Macomb.
UNI's Tommy Doyle led the team with a 17th place finish. Doyle shot a 79 in the first round of the tournament and then cut 10 strokes to finish (-3) for the second round of the day.
The next best finishers for the Panthers were Alex Pries and Sam Sacquitne. They tied each other in 27th place shooting 152 in the 36 holes that were played today.
The team finished in 5th place behind Indian Hills CC, Iowa Western CC, Western Illinois, and Kirkwood CC.
Jack Wetherbee of Western Illinois took home first place overall in the tournament shooting a 71 and 68 for the two rounds.
