
Men's Golf Finish 6th in MVC Championship

SUNRISE BEACH, Missouri – The UNI men's golf team finished in sixth place at the 2019 MVC Men's Championship on Tuesday.
The Panthers entered the tournament predicted to finish ninth by a poll of the nine MVC schools' head coaches.
Tommy Doyle led the Panthers with a three-round total of 225 finished in 14th place. Parker Oleson finished two stroked behind Doyle with a 227, carding a final round 70 for a tie for 17th.
Sam Sacquitne ended the tournament with a 230 total to tie for 22nd place while Alex Pries carded a 242 and Carter Stochl ended with a 244.
Southern Illinois took home the team title with an 859 total score. Missouri States Kory Franks and Illinois States David Rauer each finished the tournament at -4 and entered a sudden-death playoff where Rauer defeated Franks in one hole.
