Five UNI Football Players Honored by the National Football Foundation

IRVING, Texas – Five UNI Panther football graduates were named to the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame 2019 NFF Hampshire Honor Society.
The society is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers.
UNI is one of just 29 colleges and universities across all divisions that has had at least one player recognized in all 13 years of the society.
This year, Austin Errthum, Duncan Ferch, Elias Nissen, Cal Twait and Marcus Weymiller earned recognition.
Twait earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors for his senior season. Weymiller was named CoSIDA Academic All-America each of the last two seasons.
The 2019 Panther football team is in the midst of spring practice which will wrap up on April 27 with an open practice at 1 p.m.
