PITTSBURGH, Pa. — UNI wrestling secured its 25th two-time All-American when Drew Foster advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships.
Three more Panthers have a shot at the podium and will compete tonight in the consolations for a shot at third place.

Foster opened with a decision over Virginia Tech's No. 3 Zack Zavatsky in the quarterfinals. It was the fourth time in Foster's career that he had beaten Zavatsky.
Foster's win secured him a spot on the podium to make him the 25th Panther to earn two All-America titles. He was seventh at the 2017 championships. He will face No. 14 Chip Ness of North Carolina. Foster beat Ness by decision (5-3 and 5-0) in the 2017 season. Ness took seventh at last year's national championships.
Thomsen opened the day with his first set of bonus points in the championships with a 13-2 major decision over No. 24 Russell Rohlfing (CSU Bakersfield). It was the sixth set of bonus points for the Panthers.
Thomsen faces No. 5 Brock Mauller of Missouri in the 149-pound consolations.
Bryce Steiert lost 6-0 to No. 3 Josh Shields of Arizona State, but he will return tonight to face No. 22 Gordon Wolf of Lehigh.
Steiert, a junior from Waverly, Iowa, is at his third national tournament looking for his first All-America honors.
Taylor Lujan was bumped to the consolations at 174 pounds by No. 1 Mark Hall of Penn State. Lujan is a junior at his third national tournament and looking for his first All-America honors. He will face No. 6 David McFadden of Virginia Tech. McFadden is a two-time All-American at 165 pounds.
Jay Schwarm avenged two career losses at 125 pounds to No. 12 Travis Piotrowski of Illinois but wasn't able to knock off No. 11 Sean Fausz (North Carolina State).
Josh Alber was eliminated at 141 pounds by No. 19 Jamel Morris of North Carolina State.
The team was sitting in ninth place.
