UNI Softball Travels to Springfield to Face Missouri State

GAME NOTES
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The Panthers head to Springfield, Missouri for a three-game series with the MVC foe Missouri State Bears.
UNI enters the weekend with a 11-10 record after going 2-1 at Indiana State in the conference opening weekend. The Panthers had won both games on Saturday, but dropped their game on Sunday, 2-1, in eight innings.
The Panthers are 50-48 all-time in the series against Missouri State. The Panthers were 2-1 against the Bears in 2018, with the last UNI win over Missouri State being a 2-1 victory, last season.
Sammey Bunch leads the Panthers with 27 runs scored, seven home runs and 19 RBIs. Bunch enters the weekend as the Missouri Valley's leader in slugging percentage (.905), on base percentage (.538) and runs scored.
Brittney Krodinger is second on the team with five home runs and 19 RBIs. The five home runs marks a career-high for B. Krodinger, with three coming last weekend against Indiana State.
Olivia Brooks is top-five in the conference with 30 hits this season. Brooks' 30 hits also leads the Panthers.
Following the series against Missouri State, the Panthers travel to Madison, Wisconsin for a doubleheader against the Wisconsin Badgers on Tuesday, March 26.
