UNI Tennis Falls to Minnesota 7-0

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.—The University of Northern Iowa tennis team fell in action today against Minnesota 7-0.

Daisy Phillips, in the No. 5 singles spot, had her winning streak cut short as Caitlyn Merzbacher defeated Phillips 6-1, 6-2. Reghan Lynch fell in the No. 1 singles spot, 6-0, 6-0. Valentina Caro fell in the No. 6 singles spot 6-0, 6-0.

Phillips and Olivia Fain were defeated in the No. 3 doubles spot 6-1. Lynch and Claudia Toledo were defeated in the No. 1 doubles spot as Minnesota took the doubles point.

The Panthers return to action on Feb. 10 at Gustavus Adolphus visits for a 1 p.m. meet.
