UNI Men's Basketball Falls to Bradley, 79-71

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UNI men's basketball team took on the Braves of Bradley University in the McLeod Center Wednesday night. The Panthers fell to the visiting Braves, 79-71.
The Panthers trailed early in the first half, Just eight minutes into the game, the Braves led the Panthers, 20-6. A slow but steady comeback for the Panthers tied the game at 27-27 with 4:54 remaining in the half. The Braves and Panthers traded blows in the final minutes, but it was the Braves that took a 36-34 lead into halftime.
The Panthers were able to take the lead in the second half but were only able to hold in for just over four minutes. The Braves shot 50 percent from the field and made six of their 10 three-pointers to outscore the Panthers 43-37 in the second half.
AJ Green led the way with 24 points in the Panthers' loss, making nine of his 19 shots from the field and four for nine from the three-point arc. Senior Wyatt Lohaus was the only other Panther in double digits on the night, finishing with 12 points the senior guard was four of nine from the field and made two of his three three-point attempts.
Trae Berhow ended the night with eight points but led the Panthers in rebounding, hauling in nine total boards including two offensive rebounds. Isaiah Brown was active on both ends of the court, ending with nine points, six rebounds and a team-high two assists.

The Panthers, 10-14 overall and 5-6 in the MVC, will now travel to Des Moines to take on the Bulldogs of Drake University in an in-state rivalry. The Panthers came out on top in January in the McLeod Center, defeating the Bulldogs, 57-54. The Bulldogs are 17-7 overall and 6-5 in the Missouri Valley Conference after falling to Loyola 86-64 on Tuesday. The Panthers and Bulldogs tip off at 5 p.m. in the Knapp Center and can be viewed on NBC Sports Chicago.
