• The Bulldogs of Drake University are 17-7 overall and 6-5 in the Missouri Valley Conference.

• The Bulldogs ended their non-conference schedule 12-2 while going 4-0 in the Las Vegas Classic, defeating SIU Edwardsville, Rider, New Mexico State, and San Diego.

• Drake took on the Cyclones of Iowa State in the final Hy-Vee Classic in December. The Bulldogs lost a hard-fought battle in Wells Fargo Arena to the Cyclone, falling 77-68.

• After the loss of standout senior Nick Norton, the Bulldogs rallied around Nick McGlynn and Brady Ellingson. The two seniors lead the Bulldogs in scoring.
Â
• Ellingson has started 23 of the Bulldogs 24 games this season, averaging 11.3 points per game and shooting over 50 percent from the field.

• Ellingson also leads the Bulldogs in three-point shooting and ranks third in free throw shooting, connecting on 47.6 percent of his three-point attempts and 78.9 percent of his free throws.

• Forward Nick McGlynn leads the Bulldogs in scoring, averaging 15.3 points per game and leads the team in field goal percentage making 53.1 percent of his field goal attempts.

• Freshman guard D.J. Wilkins has been on the court more than any other Bulldog this season, averaging 32.2 minutes per game. Wilkins also leads the Bulldogs in assists with 68.

• Darian DeVries, an Iowa native and veteran coach with experience in the BIG EAST and Missouri Valley Conferences, became the head coach of the Drake University men's basketball program on March 29, 2018.

• DeVries' first recruiting class included a junior college All-American, graduate transfers with all-conference pedigrees, a 7-footer, and international talent.Â

• Before taking over the Bulldogs' program, DeVries was an assistant coach at Creighton University for 17 years and spent 20 total seasons on staff with the Bluejays. During that span, he helped guide the Bluejays to 19 postseason appearances and 12 NCAA Tournament berths.

UNI has made at least one 3-Pointer in 618 straight games – the longest active streak in the Missouri Valley Conference. The last time UNI failed to make a 3-point basket came Feb. 3, 2000, vs. Southern Illinois in a 72-58 Panther victory in the UNI-Dome.
