Panthers Roll Iowa 88-66

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI women's basketball dominated Iowa from the opening tip and didn't let up for the entire game en route to an 88-66 win over the Hawkeyes, the first win over Iowa since 2006.
UNI opened the game on a 7-1 run and never trailed in the game. The Panthers built a 21-12 after the first quarter and didn't let up.
Kam Finley score nine of her 20 points in the second quarter to lead UNI to a 24-19 advantage in the second and a 45-31 lead at the half.
After the half, UNI kept pouring it on, shooting 9-14 from the field in the third to extend the lead to 68-51.
The Panthers extended the lead to 88-58 with 3:38 to play in the game, but Iowa closed on an 8-0 run to cut the final to 88-66.
Kam Finley scored a game-high and career-high 20 points, including nine points in the second quarter. Abby Gerrits, Nicole
Kroeger and Kristina Cavey joined Finley in double digits with 15, 13 and 14 respectively.
The Panthers shot 31-59 (52.5 %) from the field and 10-26 (38.5%) from the three-point line. UNI continued its strong free throw shooting, going 16-20 (80%) from the line.
UNI gave up only 11 turnovers on the game and outrebounded Iowa 39-36. Bre Gunnels notched a game-high 11 rebounds. UNI also tallied 12 assists on 31 made shots.
The Panthers are 4-0 for the first time since the 1998-99 season and picked up its second win over a Power-Five school for the first time since the 2017-18 season when the Panthers defeated Kansas State and Iowa State.
