Women's Golf finishes 2nd in Terre Haute

Terre Haute, Indiana - The University of Northern Iowa women's golf team finished as the runner up at the Indiana State Spring Invitational.
The Panthers finished the tournament with a team score of (615), falling just one stroke behind the Loyola Ramblers.
Emily Snelling earned medalist honors as she finished the tournament in first place. Snelling lead the tournament with a final score of (147) after finishing 2-under (70) in round one and 5-over (77) in round two. The freshman's excellent performance makes her the first Panther women's golfer to win a tournament outright since Paige Van Dyk won the Whistling Straits Intercollegiate on October 12-13, 2015.
Van Dyk recorded her third top-10 finish of the year as she finished with a share of tenth place overall. The senior notched a 4-over (76) score in round two, aiding to her final score of (155).
Also finishing in the top-10 are individual's Anne Gradoville and Sarah McMichael. The duo tied with each other for sixth place overall after stroking final scores of (154). Gradoville shot the two lowest rounds of her collegiate career with a pair of 77's, aiding to her first-career top-10 finish. McMichael's top-10 finish marks her third of the season.
Maddie Bertsch tied for 22nd place overall after a final score of (160), while Sydney Eaton claimed a stake of 29th place after her (162) finish.
Hannah Bermel shot 5-over (77) on the day, assisting to her final score of (165)
NEXT UP: The Panthers will head to the MVC Championships on April 15-17 in Newton, Kansas.
