Women's Golf Places 4th at Jackrabbit Invitational

BOULDER CITY, Nevada - The University of Northern Iowa women's golf team took home fourth place following the final 18 holes at the Jackrabbit Invitational.
The Panthers finished with a team score of (300) on day two, giving them a final team score of (921) on the tournament after their (313) and (308) outing yesterday.
Maddie Bertsch not only led the Panthers on day two, but led the entire tournament as her 4-under (68) performance in round three was a tournament-best. Bertsch's impressive performance sent her home tied for fifth place overall. Bertsch's 68 is a career-best topping her previous low round of 71 she shot last season at the Bradley Spring Invitational.
Knotted up at 26th place overall are freshmen Emily Snelling and Hannah Bermel, who both finished with identical scores of (235). Snelling shot 6-over (78) in round three while Bermel finished 4-over (76).
Right behind the freshman duo is Sarah McMichael, who finished tied for 28th place after shooting 6-over (78) on the day.
Paige Van Dyk took home a share of 38th place after her 10-over (82) outing in round three earned her a final score of (242).
The Panthers have no time to rest as they will head over to St. George, Utah on Mar. 15-16 for the Pizza Hut Pat Lady Thunderbird Invitational.
