December's Student Athletes of the Month

Monthly, the UNI Student-Athlete Advisory Committee selects Student Athletes of the Month for their strong performances in the month before. December's Student-Athletes of the Month are as follows.
Austin Errthum - Football
Errthum was named the MVFC Special Teams Player of the Week after his performance against Missouri State. He didn't miss a field goal for the entire month of November and finished the season 24-29 on the season and 35-35 on the year in PATs. He was named First-Team All-MVFC. Errthum is a biology major. He has been a member of the Dean's List and Athletic Director's Honor Roll numerous times.
Piper Thomas - Volleyball
Thomas was named the MVC Player of the Year and the tournament MVP after lead the Panthers to the championship. She leads the volleyball team with a .349 attack percentage and notched a team-high 97 total blocks. Thomas is a movement & exercise science: sport psychology major. She is a member of the Dean's List and Athletic Director's Honor Roll numerous times.
Katie Taylor – Swimming and Diving
Taylor broke multiple school records including the 100 backstroke, the 200 backstroke, 200 IM, 400 IM, 200 medley and 300 medley. She hit the NCAA B standard in the 200 back, 200 IM and 400 IM. She was named the MVC Swimmer of the Week after the Kansas Classic. She is a finance: financial management major. She is a member of the Dean's List and Athletic Director's Honor Roll numerous times.
Drew Foster - Wrestling
Foster closed November undefeated with a 5-0 record including 2-0 in duals and 1-0 in Big-12 action. He is now 72-30 on his career, and he helped the Panthers start Big-12 dual competition with a win. He had a 9-6 win over No. 16 Nino Bonaccosi from Pitt and a 19-0 tech fall in the first period against Jackson Moomau of West Virginia opponent. He is an elementary and middle level education double major and a multisemester member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
