Katy VanDyke-Corbett named Concessions Food & Beverage Operations Manager

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- The UNI Athletic Department on Thursday announced the hiring of Katy VanDyke-Corbett as its new Concessions Food & Beverage Operations Manager.
In her role at UNI, VanDyke-Corbett will help oversee food service needs at outlets and stands throughout the UNI-Dome and McLeod Center on game days and at other expos and exhibits the university hosts. She will also be partially responsible for the experience in UNI suites and working with teams for beverage needs on game day.
"We're incredibly excited to welcome Katy VanDyke-Corbett to our UNI Athletics concessions team," said Ricky Cano, UNI's Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Event Management. "She brings a wealth of experience, great energy, and a true passion for serving our fans. We know she'll make an immediate and positive impact, and we're thrilled to have her on board."
A 2010 UNI graduate, VanDyke-Corbett joins the Panther athletics staff after seven years as a Food Service Supervisor for UNI, supervising cook and bakery employees, receiving and managing shipments and managing student staffing.
In the last five years, VanDyke-Corbett has also owned and operated a number Waterloo based establishments, including Fester's Pub, Hungry Charlie's Lunchbox Deli and Hungry Charlie's Food Truck. She has managed inventory for her businesses, developed menus, oversaw payroll and business operations and promoted her businesses throughout social media.
"I am thrilled to join the athletics department as the concessions manager," said VanDyke-Corbett. "My hope is that my extensive food and beverage background is an asset to the operation's success. I love the culture at UNI and being a part of the athletics team is both energizing and engaging. I'm proud to be part of the team!"
