CEDAR FALLS, Iowa—The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team will finish the regular season competition at Illinois State on Oct. 25. The match is set to begin at 4 pm at Adelaide Street Field.
The Panthers and the Redbirds met twice last season, both times in Cedar Falls. The first meeting went into overtime and UNI won on a golden goal by Brynell Yount. The Panthers and Redbirds played each other in the opening round of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament, with the Panthers pulling out a 1-0 victory.
The Panthers are coming off a 3-0 victory over Valparaiso on Homecoming. Sydney Hayden led the Panthers with 2 goals in the match, including the game-winning goal.

- The Panthers have posted a 4-2-1 on the road, including wins over Colorado State, Iowa State, and Evansville. After the Panthers play on Thursday, they will have played on every weekday this season.
- Last season, Jami Reichenberger set the UNI and MVC single-season record for shutouts at 11. With her sixth shutout this past Saturday, Reichenberger now leads the UNI career record book with 17 shutouts.
- Reichenberger leads the MVC in 5 of the 6 goalkeeping categories. Reichenberger has .95 goals against average, with a save percentage of .866. In addition, Reichenberger has 103 saves on the years, averaging 6.06 per game.
- Sydney Hayden and Kelsey Yarrow lead the Panthers with 5 goals each and are in a multi-way tie for fourth in the Valley for goals scored.
- Illinois State is led by Kate Del Fava with 5 goals and 3 assists this season.
- Goalkeeper Haley Smith has allowed 23 goals this season, with a save percentage of .796. Smith has 1.32 goals against average with 90 saves on the season.
- Abby Basler was named the MVC Offensive Player of the Week for Oct. 22 after combining for 2 goals and an assist in the pair of Redbirds wins last week. Basler has 4 goals on the season for the Redbirds.
- The Redbirds have a three-game conference win streak, having not lost a conference since Valparaiso on Oct. 8th.
