WATERLOO, Iowa—The cold weather could not stop the Drake offense as they pulled out a 2-1 victory over the Panthers.
Â
The Panthers got on the board first, as Drake goalkeeper Kelsie Stone deflected the goal into the net during the seventh minute of action. Megan Benmore had got the assist on the ball.

Drake would tie the match on a deflection from UNI keeper Jami Reichenberger in the 23rd minute of the match. Alyssa Brand would put Drake ahead in the 75th minute, on an assist from Cassie Rohan.

Reichenberger and Stone would be tied on saves at eight, as Drake led in shots 16-10.

The Panthers will round out their home season as Valpo comes to town on Oct. 20 for a noon match-up. Prior to the match, the Panthers will honor the eight seniors on the team.
