Women's Golf in 5th Place at MVC Preview

CHESTERTON, Indiana – Valparaiso University is playing host to the Missouri Valley Women's Golf Preview at Sand Creek Country Club from October 15-16. The preview is scheduled for 3 rounds, playing two rounds on Monday and a final 18 holes on Tuesday.
Through the first two rounds the Panthers sit in fifth place carding a 662 (+86). Sydney Eaton and Anne Gradoville each carded first round 80's to lead the Panthers. Emily Snelling finished the first round with an 82 followed by Hannah Bermel and Hailey Bermel with an 86 and 91 respectively.
Sarah McMichael participated unattached, finishing the first round with an 80.
The teams went straight into the second round with Sydney Eaton again recording the team's lowest score with a 78. Eaton finished with a 158 and good enough to enter the second day in sixth place.
Anne Gradoville struggled in the second round, recording an 86 but still finished T15 on the day with a 166. Hannah Bermel added an 82 in the second round and finished T24. Hailey Bermel finished with an 88 and Emily Snelling finished with a 93, good enough for 43rd and T48 respectively.
Sarah McMichael continued her play in the second round, carding a 78 and sits at sixth place in the tournament.
The Panthers will have their work cut out for them on day two as they are currently 20 strokes behind Missouri State in first place and 19 strokes behind Bradley in second. Currently in fifth place, the Panthers are just 3 strokes behind Southern Illinois in fourth place and 15 behind Illinois State in third.
Golf resumes Tuesday, October 16 for round three at Sand Creek Country Club.
