Kolarevic Named to Jerry Rice Award Watch List

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI redshirt freshman Chris Kolarevic is one of 15 players from around the FCS named to the Jerry Rice Award Watch List released today by STATS.

Kolarevic is one of just four defensive players on the list and the only player from the Missouri Valley Football Conference to be honored.

In his first season on the field for the Panthers, he has been productive from the start. He has 54 tackles, including 17 solo stops. He has two TFLs, one interception and four pass breakups in five games.

Kolarevic is tied for second in the Valley for tackles and averages 10.8 tackles per game.

UNI is now 2-3 on the season and 1-1 in MVFC play. The Panthers take on South Dakota in Vermillion Saturday.
