UNI Wrestling Signs Gordon of Waterloo East

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Doug Schwab signed Waterloo East's Tyrell Gordon to help fill the upper weights of UNI's wrestling roster for 2018-19.
Tyrell Gordon of Waterloo signed a National Letter of Intent today.
Gordon was fourth at last year's high school state championships at 182 pounds. In 2016, he took seventh at the Preseason Nationals at 195 pounds. He is also a Fargo All-American with a fifth-place finish in the 220-pound weight class.
Gordon is a three-sport athlete who also competes in football and track. He has been on Waterloo East's honor roll for the last three years and volunteers with the Future Trojans Wrestling Club. Iowa State, Northern Illinois and Campbell also were recruiting Gordon.
Gordon join Bryce Esmoil of West Liberty, Iowa, and New Hampton's Michael Blockhus and Noah Glaser.
