Panther Train announces complete 2026-27 meet schedule

UNI opens season on Nov. 14 at Grand View Open.
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- The UNI wrestling team on Monday announced its full 2026-27 competition schedule, including home and road dual dates and tournaments.
Season tickets for the upcoming season are now available, with single event tickets set to go on sale on Nov. 9. Tickets for the "Dual In The Dome, presented by Journeymen Wrestling," are not included in season ticket packages and can be purchased on a single-event basis.
Tickets can be purchased through the UNI Ticket Office, by calling 319-273-4849 or through email at tickets@uni.edu. Additional meet start times will be announced as they are set.
Northern Iowa will open its 103rd season of wrestling at the Grand View Open in West Des Moines before a pair of road duals at North Carolina (Nov. 21) and Duke (Nov. 22). Following competition at the Cougar Clash on Dec. 5, the Panthers return home as they take on the Iowa Hawkeyes for the first time in Cedar Falls since 2010 inside the UNI-Dome in the "Dual In The Dome, presented by Journeymen Wrestling."
Big 12 Conference action opens with a Dec. 18 dual at West Virginia ahead of action Jan. 2-3 at the Soldier Salute in Coralville. The NWCA Multi-Division National Dual Meet Championships also returns to the UNI-Dome, Jan. 8-9 as the Panthers look to defend their back-to-back Division I men's titles from the previous two seasons.
Following a Jan. 15 home dual with Wyoming and road dual at Missouri (Jan. 22), Northern Iowa will host reigning Big 12 champion and 2026 NCAA runner-up Oklahoma State on Jan. 29, as well as Oklahoma on Jan. 30. UNI opens February at Utah Valley (Feb. 4) and at Arizona State (Feb. 7) before hosting its final two home events of the year, including an in-state showdown with Big 12 rival Iowa State (Feb. 12) and a non-conference matchup with Cornell on Feb. 13 for senior day. The Panthers will close out the regular season on Feb. 21 at Wisconsin
The Big 12 Championships return to the BOK Center in Tulsa for an 11th consecutive year (March 5-6), while the Enterprise Center in St. Louis hosts the NCAA Championships (March 18-20).
