Carnes, Knodle Earn Second-Team All-America

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The University of Northern Iowa track and field program wrapped up competition at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships today in Birmingham, Ala. as Paige Knodle took on the pentathlon and Brandon Carnes competed in the 60 meter dash, both earning second-team All-America.
Carnes took part in the 60 meter dash semifinal race today, finishing with another fast time of 6.66. Carnes wrapped up his indoor season as one of the most decorated athletes to come through UNI, advancing his individual MVC title total to 10 after his 60 and 200 meter dash wins. He also set a new all-time Valley record in the 60, running a PR time of 6.64.Players Mentioned
