The Basics: The University of Northern Iowa women's basketball team heads to the Hoosier State for a Friday night match up against Indiana State on Friday (Feb. 12) at 6 p.m., followed by a Sunday evening show down against Illinois State at 7 p.m. (Feb. 14).
The Series: Indiana State holds a 41-27 advantage over the Panthers in the all-time series between the two teams. UNI is 10-8 against the Sycamores under the direction of head coach Tanya Warren, including three straight dating back to last season.

• The Panthers enter the game ranked No. 4 in NCAA Division I basketball in fewest turnovers and No. 4 in turnovers per game, averaging 11.5.

Good Worker: Senior guard Stephanie Davison was selected to the 2016 Allstate WBCA Good Works Team. She is one of just five Division I student-athletes that were chosen for the team, and will be honored on the court at the Women's Final Four in Indianapolis, Ind. and at the 2016 WBCA Convention. Davision will also get to participate in a local service project while in Indiana.
Adding Points: In the last two games, the Panthers have averaged 72.0 points per game, while averaging 64.1 this season. UNI has also been holding their opponents to just 59.8 points per game, which ranks second in the Valley. Indiana State will enter the game against the Panthers ranked first in the MVC, holding opponents to 58.9 points while only scoring 59.0 themselves.
Weekly Milestones: Junior Madison Weekly needed just one-point to break the 1,000 career-point mark heading into the Panthers' game against Wichita State (2/7). She knocked in 19 by the end of the game, becoming the 22nd player in UNI history to reach 1,000 points. She is sitting at 1,018 through 79 career games.

Lamar scored a career-high 14 points against Missouri State (2/5) and added 11 in UNI's win over Wichita State (2/7). She also scored a career-high three treys against the Shockers, going 75-percent from the arc. In the last two games, Lamar has shot 71-percent from the three, 44-percent from the field and 100-percent from the free throw line.
Multi-Talented: The Panthers had 12 players see action against Wichita State (2/7), with 10 scoring at least one point. True freshman Dariann Garrison-Nickerson scored her first collegiate point and first rebound against Wichita State.
She Shoots, She Scores: Through 22 games, Madison Weekly is scoring 17.0 points per game, ranking her second in the Valley. Her 17.0 ppg puts her at No. 8 all-time at UNI in season scoring average, also bumping her up to No. 8 in career scoring average (12.9 ppg through 79 games).
Weekly Awards: Junior Madison Weekly has earned back-to-back MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Week selections. She is majoring in accounting, with a cumulative GPA of 3.89.
The Last Six: In the last six games, UNI has shot 76.1-percent from the free throw line, with four student-athletes shooting 80-percent or higher. Both Jen Keitel and Angie Davison have shot 100-percent from the line since Jan. 17, with Sharnae Lamar chipping in 90-percent from the line. Lamar has shot 100-percent from the free throw line for the last three games while Keitel has gone without a miss for the last four.

Valley on ESPN3: ESPN and the Missouri Valley Conference have announced a 10-year extension to their current media rights agreement that will provide increased coverage of conference events across ESPN platforms through the 2023-24 academic year. As part of the deal, ESPN, the MVC and its 10 member institutions will work jointly to develop in-house production capabilities at each campus that will provide significant national coverage for multiple sports on ESPN3 and hands-on educational opportunities for students. As a result, ESPN3 will showcase a minimum of 820 events a year (a minimum of 70 men's basketball) in the final six years of the agreement.
