SOUTH DAKOTA STATE
The South Dakota State Jackrabbits will enter the McLeod Center riding a three-game win streak after starting the season 1-6.
The Jackrabbits have posted wins this season over Wayne State (80-72), Milwaukee (81-58), Minnesota-Crookston (90-58) and UMKC (77-68).
The Jacks are led in scoring by preseason Summit League Player of the Year Mike Daum (20.2 ppg). Daum is also averaging 8.6 rebounds per contest.
SDSU is under the direction of first-year head coach T.J. Otzelberger. Otzelberger previously served as an assistant coach at Iowa State.

Senior Jeremy Morgan scored 20 points in Saturday's game at Wyoming to give him six career 20-point scoring games. Morgan has scored 20 points in three games this season. Morgan, the preseason MVC player of the year, leads the Panthers in scoring (15.4), rebounding (6.7), assists (2.9), blocks (2.0) and steals (3.4).
Morgan ranks No. 3 in the nation in steals per game.

NORTH CENTRAL CONF WEEK
This week will feel like a throwback to the old North Central Conference as UNI takes on South Dakota State (Wed., 7 p.m.) and North Dakota (Sat., 7 p.m.).
UNI was a member of the NCC from 1934-35 through the 1977-78 season before embarking on its move to NCAA Division I status.
UNI and SDSU have met 83 times, while UNI and UND have met 85 times.
FOUR NON-CONFERENCE LOSSES
UNI has dropped four non-conference games (Wyoming, George Mason and Xavier, twice) for the first time since the 2008-09 season.
The Panthers fell five times in the 2008-09 non-conference slate to Illinois-Chicago, Marquette, Iowa State, Iowa and Wyoming.
However, the 2008-09 Panther captured the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament title and played in the 2009 NCAA Tournament. UNI finished the 2008-09 season with a record of 23-11.

UNI has finished in the upper half of the Missouri Valley Conference's final standings in 13 straight seasons. It is the longest active streak in the league.
Prior to the 2003-04 season, when the current streak began, UNI had finished in the top half of the MVC on two occasions (1993-94 - 5th, 1996-97 - 4th) since joining the league in 1991-92.

This year's UNI men's basketball games can be heard on the UNI Sports Radio Network, with KXEL (1540 AM, Waterloo, Iowa) serving as flagship station. Affiliates include KBGG (1700 AM, Des Moines), KGYM (1600 AM, Cedar Rapids), KQCR (98.9 FM, Hampton), KILJ (105.5 FM, Mount Pleasant), KFXE (1160 AM, Decorah-Waukon) and KVFD (1400 AM, Fort Dodge).
Long-time Panthers announcer Gary Rima handles play-by-play duties, while Kevin Boyle serves as analyst. Head coach Ben Jacobson's weekly radio call-in show will air on Thursdays, beginning in December at 6 p.m., live from The Other Place in Cedar Falls.
WEEKLY PRESS LUNCHEONS
UNI head coach Ben Jacobson or a member of his coaching staff will be available at the weekly Press Luncheons held each Monday beginning at noon in the back room of Pepper's Grill and Sports Pub located on 18th Street in Cedar Falls.
