UNI Posts 71-48 Exhibition Win Over Bemidji State

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa men's basketball team posted a 71-48 exhibition victory over the Bemidji State Beavers on Friday in the McLeod Center.

The Panthers were paced four four double-digit scorers in Jeremy Morgan, Juwan McCloud, Spencer Haldeman and Wyatt Lohaus. Each tallied 10 points in the victory. Bennett Koch secured a team-best nine rebounds and scored eight points.

UNI used a 16-2 run in the first half to turn an 11-6 deficit into a 22-13 advantage. Ashton and Haldeman each drained a three-pointer in the spurt.

The Panthers led by as many 24 points in the second half as the home squad took a 53-29 lead with 12:03 remaining in the game.

UNI will open its regular season Nov. 12 at home against the Coe Kohawks.
