UNI Heads to Illinois For Dual Meets

Cedar Falls, Iowa—The University of Northern Iowa women's swimming and diving team is set for a two-day trek to Illinois.
The Panthers travels to fellow MVC opponent Illinois State, on January 15. The meet is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. and will take place in the Horton Pool. The Panthers pack their bags and head to Quincy University on January 16, with competition starting at 12 p.m.
Illinois State leads the series 11-0. Quincy University is in their inaugural season.
Last Time in Action
UNI last competed at the Iowa Invitational, held Dec. 4-6, in Iowa City. Molly Lembezeder broke her records in the 50 Freestyle and the 100 Freestyle again. Lembezeder 50 Freestyle now stands at 23.46 and the 100 Freestyle stands at 51.20. Aftin Phyfe broke her record in the 200 IM with a time of 2:07 even. Madison Rinaldi made her debut on the record books, setting a new record in the 200 Backstroke with a time of 2:03.47. Lembezeder teamed up with Florman, Roepsch, and Siebenaller in the 200 Freestyle Relay for a time of 1:34.56. Lembezeder, Florman, and Roepsch would get a hand from Rinaldi and set a new record in the 200 Medley Relay, with a time of 1:44.87. Phyfe, Florman, Roepsch and Lembezeder all teamed up to create a new record in the 400 Freestyle Relay, nabbing a time of 3:36.48.
