NORMAL, Ill. - The University of Northern Iowa women's golf team placed 12th overall at the 2015 Redbird Invitational head at the D.A. Weibring Golf Course. The Panthers faced 90-degree heat for the second consecutive day to open the season.
UNI was paced by a trio on Monday that each carded a 76. Paige Van Dyk recorded birdies at No. 13, No. 15 and No. 18 en route to her four-over par round. Maddie Bertsch knocked in birdies at No. 6, No. 8 and No. 12 as she tallied a four-over 76. Allison Rolinger posted a 76 with birdies at No. 1 and No. 6.
UNI shot a three-round total of 950. Bowling Green won the team title with a three-round total of 905.
The Panthers will be in action again Sept. 21-22 at the Coyote Classic in Dakota Dunes, S.D.
