DAKOTA DUNES, S.D. - University of Northern Iowa junior Allison Rolinger captured medalist honors at the 2015 Coyote Classic with a final round 74.
Rolinger (Cedar Falls, Iowa/Cedar Falls HS) edged out Drake's Sophia Hill and Creighton's Kelsey Petersen by one stroke to take the individual title. Rolinger posted scores of 82-80-74 for a three-round total of 236 (+20) at the Dakota Dunes Country Club. Rolinger tallied a pair of birdies in the final round at No. 7 and No. 13.
It is the first win for a UNI women's golfer since Sarah Boss won the Braun Intercollegiate on Oct. 29, 2013.
The Panthers finished seventh in the team standings with 988 strokes. North Dakota State notched the team title with a three-round total of 957.
