UNI Set to Compete at Iowa Invite

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa—The University of Northern Iowa is headed to Iowa City to compete in the team's second championship-style meet of the season Dec. 4-6. Competition is slated to kick off at 10 a.m. in Iowa City.
Teams also competing at the invitational include Denver, Drury, Harvard, Incarnate Word, North Dakota and Milwaukee, alongside Iowa and UNI.
Iowa State, Illinois and Nebraska will only compete in the diving events taking place.
Action will take place in the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Natatorium, located on the University of Iowa's campus.
Last Time in the Pool:
The Panthers lasted competed at the Kansas Invitational, Nov. 20-22. The Panther squad broke five school records at the meet.
Molly Lembezeder broke records in the 50 and 100 Freestyles, with times of 23.36 and 51.04.
Aftin Phyfe broke the record in the 200 IM, with a time of 2:07.15.
Lembezeder teamed up with Crystal Florman, Autumn Roepsch and Rachel Siebenaller to squeak by the record board, giving a new school record of 1:34.82 in the 200 Freestyle Relay. The team was able to secure a Top-10 finish.
Madison Rinaldi, Roepsch, Florman and Lembezeder teamed up to finish five hundredths of a second away from breaking into the Top-10 in the 200 Medley Relay. The team swam a time of 1:45.52
Molly Lembezeder and Veronica Herrmann were each named to the Big Challenge All-Star Team.
