Final Swim Results
Topeka, Kan.—The Panthers finished up competition at the Big Challenge, hosted by the University of Kansas today.
Rachel Siebenaller finished in the Top-15 in the 1650 Freestyle, with a time of 17:51.
Madison Rinaldi, Aftin Phyfe and Sierra Sachtjen all finished in the Top-25 in the 200 Backstroke. Rinaldi led the Panthers with a time of 2:04.90. Phyfe and Sachtjen followed with times of 2:06.12 and 2:07.03, respectively.
Molly Lembezeder continued to have an outstanding performance in the 100 Freestyle, finishing in the Top-10. Lembezeder swam to a time of 51.04, a new school record.
Veronica Herrmann swam to a Top-15 finish in the 200 Breaststroke, getting a time of 2:21.34.
Stephanie Jackson and Taylor Ostrowski each got into the Top-20 in the 200 Butterfly. Jackson nabbed a time of 2:07.76 and Ostrowski nabbed a time of 2:08.63.
Lembezeder, Crystal Florman, Autumn Roepsch and Siebenaller received a Top-10 finish in the 400 Freestyle Relay, with a time of 3:28.99
Records Shattered
The Panther women broke five school records this weekend.
Molly Lembezeder broke records in the 50 and 100 Freestyles, with times of 23.36 and 51.04.
Aftin Phyfe broke the record in the 200 IM, with a time of 2:07.15.
Lembezeder teamed up with Crystal Florman, Autumn Roepsch and Rachel Siebenaller to squeak by the record board, giving a new school record of 1:34.82 in the 200 Freestyle Relay. The team was able to secure a Top-10 finish.
Madison Rinaldi, Roepsch, Florman and Lembezeder teamed up to finish five hundredths of a second away from breaking into the Top-10 in the 200 Medley Relay. The team swam a time of 1:45.52
Post Invitational Honors:
Molly Lembezeder and Veronica Herrmann were each named to the Big Challenge All-Star Team.
