UNI Earns Draw at Northern Illinois

The Panthers got on the board first in the 4th minute when freshman Charlotte Jones found junior Ashley Capone for her third goal of the season.
The Huskies answered in the 46th minute when Allie McBride and Frances Boukidis found Corrine Frankenberg to tie the game at one. Both teams went scoreless the rest of the way.
UNI (2-3-1) was out shot in the game, 18-5. Northern Illinois also held the advantage in corner kicks, 6-3.
Senior goalkeeper Lauren Potzman tallied five saves in the match.
Charlotte Jones (Dursley, England) earned the starting nod for the Panthers, recording her first collegiate start. It was her first action in a Panthers uniform. She tallied one assist in the match.
The Panthers will return home on Fri., Sept. 9th at 7:00 p.m. to face SIU-Edwardsville at the Cedar Valley Youth Soccer Complex.
