AVON, Ind. - The University of Northern Iowa women's golf team sits in third place following round one of the Butler Spring Invite, which is being held at Prestwick Country Club. The final round will be played on Tuesday.
The Panthers tallied 333 strokes through the first round and trail tournament leader Evansville by nine strokes entering the final round.
Ann Arnason shot a team-low of 80 in the first round, which included a 39 on the front side, and is tied for fourth in the tournament. Heather Frye shot an 82 to tie for sixth after round one. Kim Weber is tied for 20th after a first-round 86.
