Kalin was 8-of-14 from the floor, including 3-of-4 from behind the arc, and Boeck was 8-of-12 from the floor on the way to scoring her career high. Traci Ollendieck led the Panthers (7-12, 3-5) with nine rebounds.

Neither team was able to build more than a four-point lead through most of the first half, and the teams traded leads 12 times and were knotted five times in that period. Smith hit a layup with 1:52 to play in the half to give the Salukis a 30-29 lead.
Kalin hit her third three of the game to put the Panthers in front, 32-29. Danielle Wubbens followed with a short jumper, and Nicole Clausen connected on a pair of free throws to end the half on a 7-0 UNI run that sent the Panthers into the break with a 36-30 lead.
Boeck scored the first points of the second half to give UNI an eight-point lead, 38-30. The Salukis chipped away at the Panther advantage, however, and a layup by Smith at 15:37 cut the Panther lead to 40-39. UNI outscored the Salukis 9-1 over the next five minutes to build a 49-40 lead.
Sweere converted a three-point play to make it a six-point game at 10:36, but Boeck hit a free throw to put UNI back up by seven with 10:18. A three from Erin Pauk pulled SIU within four points, 50-46 with 8:08 on the clock.
Boeck hit a jump shot off an assist from Erin Brocka and then came up with a steal on the Saluki's next possession. Ollendieck scored to put the Panthers up by eight with 6:12 on the clock. Two minutes later, Kalin hit a short jump shot, and Ollendieck followed with a layup on UNI's next possession to cap an 8-0 run that put the Panthers up 58-46 with 3:27 remaining.
A three-point play by Sweere cut the UNI lead to 58-49, but a layup from Kalin at 2:27 returned the UNI advantage to double-digits. The Panthers would lead by as many as 13 points and held at least a 10-point lead through the rest of the game.
UNI shot 27-of-55 (49.1 percent) from the floor, including 3-of-10 (30 percent) from three-point range. The Panthers were 7-of-9 (77.8 percent) from the free-throw line.
SIU was 19-of-62 (30.6 percent) from the floor, including 8-of-34 (23.5 percent) from the floor in the second half. The Salukis were 5-of-16 (31.3 percent) from behind the arc and 9-of-13 (69.2 percent) from the free-throw line.
UNI outrebounded SIU, 40-34. Both teams scored 14 points off turnovers, and UNI outscored the Salukis 36-16 in the paint.
