SPRING 2021 AT NORTHERN ARIZONA:Â Played in one game, recording 1 tackle and recovered a fumble against Southern Utah.
2018-2019 AT UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON:Â Spent two seasons with the Cougars, redshirting in 2018 ... spent time at both running back and defensive back.
HIGH SCHOOL:Â An impact player on both sides of the ball at McGregor High School (Texas), Phenix was a two-star recruit by Rivals and 247Sports ... totaled 29 tackles, three pass breakups, two forced fumbles and an interception on defense as a senior ... on offense, ran for 785 yards and 11 touchdowns on only 96 attempts, averaging 8.2 yards per rush ... as a junior on defense, totaled 22 tackles, nine pass breakups and two forced fumbles ... added 13 tackles, seven pass breakups and one interception as a sophomore ... earned 2016 second team all-district honors.
