Velky was the starting quarterback for Waverly-Shell Rock, but will look to play on the defensive end for UNI. He had 10 total tackles and also notched a pick-six on the season. He rushed for 691 yards on 99 attempts for 12 touchdowns. He averaged a stellar 7.0 yards per carry his senior season. He threw for 828 passing yards and seven touchdowns on 50 completions.
