FALL 2021: Did not see action... Named MVFC President's Council Academic Award winner, along with being a Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award winner and being named to the honor roll ... named to the 2022 NFF Hampshire Honor Society.
SPRING 2021: Did not see any action during the spring 2021 season.
2018: Redshirted During the 2018 season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Two-time All-District honoree at Waverly-Shell Rock High School… Named the District Defensive Player of the Year in 2017… Claimed First Team All-District and All-State Honorable Mention with the Go-Hawks… Played linebacker and tight end at Waverly-Shell Rock… Caught six passes for 64 yards and three scores in 2017… Collected 49.5 tackles (10 for loss), while earning 7.5 sacks… Led the Go-Hawks to an 8-2 record in 2017 and a trip to the playoffs… Named team captain as a senior… Advanced to the second round of the state playoffs with Waverly-Shell Rock in 2016… Earned Second Team All-District honors as a junior.

Born on Aug. 12, 1999 as Jordan Lee Gayer in Decatur, Illinois… Son of Jerod and Debra Gayer… Has two siblings, KayDee and Tyler… Also lettered in basketball and soccer at Waverly-Shell Rock, playing forward and midfield… Member of the National Honor Society, while also earning Academic All-State… Volunteered with the American Legion and blood drives at his high school… Chose UNI because he felt comfortable with the program and coaching staff. Majoring in movement and exercise science with a minor in biology.
