Prior to UNI: Was a member of the Iowa State football program from 2012-2013.
High School: Lettered four years at West Marshall for coach Ken Winkler … finished his career with 98 touchdowns, ranked fifth in Iowa high school history … finished career with 4,384 rushing yards … Des Moines Register Elite All-State recipient as a senior … Iowa Newspaper Association Class 2A all-state team captain … as a senior, finished in the top 10 in the state in rushing yards (seventh, 2,219) and rushing touchdowns (fourth, 42) … also caught 12 passes for 408 yards and three touchdowns … made 32 tackles and a team-high seven interceptions, returning one for a score, on defense … was also the Trojans’ primary punt returner, averaging 25.9 yards per return on punts, including one touchdown … earned second-team Class 2A all-state from the Iowa Newspaper Association as a junior … during sophomore year, earned second-team all-state from the Iowa Newspaper Association as a defensive back … competed in track and field, where he was part of two state championship winning 4x200 relay and one 4x100 relay squads … also competed in basketball, where he was a three-time all-conference honoree … earned all-district honors in baseball as a junior.
