2013: Saw action in five meets during the season … opened his season at the Illinois State Invitational (9/13) with a top-20 finish and a time of 25:09 … also grabbed a top-20 finish at the Woody Greeno Invitational (9/21) … notched an 8,000 meter personal-best at the Bradley Classic (10/18) with a time of 25:08 … was the highest Panther finisher at the MVC Championships, placing 20th with a time of 25:15.50.
2012: Competed in four meets during the season as a true freshman … finished with a season-best time in the 8K at the Bradley Classic (10/12) with a time of 25:15 … had his highest finish twice during the season, placing 13th at the Bulldog Classic (8/31) and the Saluki Invitational (9/22).
High School: Lettered in track and field and cross country at Pella High School … helped his team to a state team championship in cross country in 2009 and a runner-up finish in 2008 … finished 18th individually at the state meet in 2008 and sixh place in 2009 to earn All-State honors … also earned an individual District Championship and team District Championship in 2009 … finished third at the state meet in 2010 … helped his cross country team to another state championship in 2011, placing first individually at the meet … is a two-time Elite All-State, All-District, All-State, individual District Champion and All-Conference honoree in cross country … was a state qualified in the 3,200 meter race in track and field in 2011 … won the 3,200 meter state championship in 2012 and was a runner-up in the 1,600 meters.
Personal: Son of Michael and Sarah … has two siblings, Nathan and Ciara … majoring in construction management.
