2014: Started 47 games at second base… recorded a .982 fielding percentage… batted .266 while driving in 26 runs… hit nine doubles and six home runs… hit two home runs against North Texas (2/16).
2013: Started all 53 games at second base as a sophomore ... batted .205 with 31 hits and 15 RBI ... tied for third on the team with four home runs ... tallied three doubles and scored three runs vs. Green Bay (2/9) in the UNI-Dome Classic ... knocked in three runs vs. Ball State (2/23) at Central Arkansas Tournament ... her solo home run tied the Panthers with the Southern Illinois Salukis (5/9) at 4-4 in the MVC Tournament quarterfinals in the bottom of the fourth inning - a game the Panthers would eventually win 6-4 ... had an eight-game hitting streak snapped vs. Tulsa (5/18) in the NCAA Regional in Lincoln, Neb. ... had five multi-hit games on the season.
2012: Appeared in 41 games ... drew 31 starting assignments at second base ... batted .244 with a .384 slugging percentage in 86 at-bats.
High School: Graduated Iowa City Regina High School in 2011.... five-year letter varsity winner. helped Regals place third in 2009 and state champions in 2011 as a senior for the first time in school history ... named second team all-conference in 2007 ... first-team all-conference, first-team all-district, and all-conference academic award for four straight seasons ... also named honorable mention all-state in 2008, and first-team all-state 2010 and 2011 ... as a senior, was named all-tournament team captain and 2A player of the year at the state tournament ... member of National Honor Society and the Gold Honor Roll.
Personal: Born June 5, 1993, in Iowa City, Iowa ... daughter of Dean and Angie Hunter ... has three siblings (JD, Justin and Jessica) ... her older brother plays baseball at Coe College ... she is majoring in movement and exercise science with an emphasis in nursing and a minor in marketing ... chose UNI because of the great campus, softball program, and coaches and it "just felt right".
