Panther men’s golf team headed to the Wildcat Invitational

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- The UNI men's golf team is back on the course for its second tournament of the fall season, traveling to Manhattan, Kansas, to compete at the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Kansas State University.
Action tees off on September 14th-15th at the Colbert Hills Golf Club, a par-72 course measuring 7,525 yards. The tournament will start on Monday morning and run through Tuesday afternoon. Two rounds will be played on Monday, and round three will be played on Tuesday. The Panther men will compete against a field composed of Bradley, Creighton, Drake, Incarnate Word, Kansas City, Kansas State (Host), Lindenwood, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Northern Iowa, Omaha, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Southern Illinois, and St.Thomas.
UNI is coming off an 8th-place finish out of 14 teams at the ANF Fall Classic in Riverside, Iowa. Lawsen Justesen led the UNI men, finishing in a four-way tie for 26th place with a score of 219 (+3). Tanner Dinnebier climbed 14 positions with his round 3, finishing T-33rd with a score of 221 (+5). Drew Spooner finished his tournament with a T-47th place finish, scoring 225 (+9). Davis Tripp and Anthony Galvin both placed T-52nd with a final score of 226 (+10). Finally, Sam Wahman rounded out the group, placing T-64 with a score of 230 (+14).
